If the spending last week at the NYC Opera was an indication of how the economy is doing, then I'd say it's doing well. Last weekend was "Where The Wild Things Are" which meant that the theater was full of kids. And you know what kids do? They go straight to the gift shop and say, "daddy/mommy/grandma, I want....." and their parents made sure they had it. I was working like a beaver! Wow, so much money being spent! It was a bit stressful, but good for the opera. Hopefully they made plenty of money on Saturday.
The arts need support!

Wow
As Usher would say OMG. Last night's season 3 finale (and there will be a season 4!) ended with a bang! Or should I say a stake to the heart?
There were a lot of stakes through the heart last night. First Mitchell stakes Herrick (finally!) and then well, Mitchell himself gets staked, but because he wanted to, because George knew he had to and because Aidan Turner is going to be an international movie star and will be in The Hobbit which is a damn good thing because I love all things Tolkien.
